Adding wireless is a simple process but there's a couple of things you must know:

  1. Don't attempt to add wireless until you've successfully configured your network via a hard-wired connection.
  2. A Netgear WNCE2001 wireless 'game adapter' is probably the most used and easiest to setup because it supports WPS, is readily available at local retailers and online and costs under $50.
  3. Do not attempt to update your firmware via wireless - you have to go back to a wired connection

Assuming your Apex is properly configured on your network, converting it to wireless is a 5 minute process:
  1. If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), power up the game adapter, press its WPS button and the WPS button on your router. Once they both stop flashing and go to solid Green, you're configured.
  2. Connect your Apex ethernet cable to the game adapter.

If your router does NOT support WPS then it's a little more work:
  1. Disconnect your PC from your router. If your PC is wireless to your router, turn OFF your PC's wireless.
  2. Connect the game adapter to your PC's ethernet port.
  3. Power up the game adapter. On your PC open your browser. You should automatically go to the adapters setup application.
  4. Using the setup Wizard, select your network (it should automatically be found) and enter your security passphrase.
  5. Click Finish. When the screen completes you can reconnect your PC to your router and connect your Apex to the game adapter.

There are many other ways to provide wireless but this method is simple, quick and known to work.
