Thanks dude.. It's a work in progress for sure.. And I actually have 4 urchin in the main display..
And lol, I'm trying hard to grow them more.. But I've had a couple people ask for frags.. I want everything to be colony sized before I begin cutting.. But if your serious, give me a few months, and I'll definitely send you some..

Ok, keep those photos coming, your system is inspiring for sure.

And here are the guts:
The 55 gallon sump is in the basement - 1 floor under the tank. I have it linked to to utility sink so I can do automatic water changes (remotely). The skimmer is also plugged into the sink, and gravity does the auto empty of the collection cup for me. I attached a lcd android for controlling. Dosing my own mix of phyto and zoo. Mag is dosed, the others are inactive. Theres a uv sterilizer with a vertical pvc pipe loop- I did this so if and when the water stops, it dosent let the bulb run dry , thus preventing it from cracking. The normal ATO on the left out of view. I run a kalk reactor, and phosban reactor. The macro algae in the middle grows great and sucks out nitrates. Im also experimenting with nano bubbles at night hence the air stone next to the return pump. I run carbon/ cupisorb, and purigen in the socks.

Here is the hood. I have speakers that play a sound loop of the ocean... Its a long term experiment to see if the sound vibrations of the ocean creates any responses in the corals. I also have a thunder storm sound loop that plays when I trigger the storm / lightning effects. You can also see the lunar sims attached to the radions. The sawed off siphon hose is used to dose thngs other than alk and cal. I dont like hitting corals with concentrated substances, and this keeps it from affecting the probe readings. Cheap fans trigger for cooling. And you can see a homemade screen top - good for keeping wrasse inside, cooling, and not blocking any light.
image.jpg
Here is the overflow box. This is where I keep the probes. I also have floats, and a camera here to inform me if and when anything goofy occurs. This is also where the Dos deposits.. The dosing goes straight down the drain to the sump, and then gets to the main tank without being highly concentrated.

The latest shot of my 60 cube. Growth is off the chartsimage.jpgneeds a new light though. Thinking about the maxspect ethereal as it seems perfect for a cube. Hate the fact that it is not apex ready... Possibly an hydra52 but all the extra costs to control it makes it a but pricey. No real room for the power supply of the G3 that are on sale now...
this is my Display Tank its 7 x 2 x 2.5, powered during the day by solar tube and evening by radions.

Custom Red Sea Reefer 450 setup. I plan on getting a couple of the COR15s to replace my Vectra L1 and the FMM ATO setup to replace my Puratek Auto Level Controller.... well, once they are all released.

Here's my 180gal.
Finally almost done with my Apex Control panel that I BUILD USING MY 10 GALLON Nano stand by Coralife! I just need to install my controllers from my Skimz Protein skimmer, 2 TUNZE 6050 pumps and my Ecotech M1 pump and then it will be time to hook this bad boy up. As far as my modules I went with the PM2 for salainty and the ALD module for Leak Detection w/ 2 low profile probes to add around my sump area. Also, I have the nest webcam, and going to be buying the new CoralVue webcam 720p ones it gets released in a few weeks which will go inside of my display.

About a year and a half I swapped out my 2 250 watt metal halides and 4 110 watt vho's to 3 ecotech gen 3 pros and lost about $5000.00 in coral, it was devistating. But over the last year I've been slowly automating things. Started running the Zoe's vite system about 5 months ago and have gotten excellent results, very happy with the upgrades, by this time next year I should have a flourishing reef.
Finally completed and made some changes to my Saltwater mixing station, Apex Control Panel and my latest pic of my 120 MixedReef
