Love the tank stand! Did you retrofit a dresser?

Here is something a little different. Microscopic images of cryptozoa that have crawled out of my live rock and sand.
False color image of red slime cyanobacteria showing its really cool corkscrew confirmation. They actually spin in live viewing.

Here is a micrograph of filamentous diatoms that form the brown "slime" on the back wall of my tank.

Assorted organisms from brown sludge that formed early in the cycling process.
It includes filamentous cyanobacteria, golden brown algae diatom "boats", green algae spheres and true bacillus bacteria. Thankfully, this mess disappeared in a few days.

False color image of a flatworm that I found crawling on my glass. I did not return him to the tank. Have not seen another.

    Six months into this project.
Aqua Medic Advance Blenny 20 gal with Aqua Reef Led light system and Aqua Medic Sunrise Control
Apex Jr. controls separate Calcium and Carbonate dosing and top off (Magneium is dosed in top off), as well as controlling heater.
Includes P1 module with DIY breakout box for two top off switches.
"Open" electronics bay for constant monitoring with Foscam IP remote camera.

Cramped "sump" behind the partition contains return pump, main heater, back-up heater, float switches, dosing tubes inlet, skimmer, Innovative Marine Mini-max bio-reactor, temp and pH probes.
Seems to handle my bio-load with ease: 17 coral frags, 3 fish and a dozen small hermits.

    Tank as of 6-6-14.jpg

I have 3 of them , working perfectly for 18 months ; however the 50 ml/min is a bit noisy IMO.

    And my newest addition

I upgrade from a Solana to this a little over a month ago. Things are still out of place

Setting up a new 60 gal deep blue frag in the garage, made this for the controller. I made the Sump and reactors too. Need to clean up wires next. IMAG1229.jpgIMAG1183.jpg
