I am so bummed that I didn't see this notice until now! Guess I've just been too busy this summer. Anyone who registered want to or need to give up their place?

You can still come. We just aren't accepting any additional pre registrations so you basically will have to wait until 8:30 to come in. In other words everyone else will get first dibs on the breakfast.

More details to come from neptune, but they are adding a feature to fusion to allow parameter logging. They are also releasing a dual doser and wavemaker that look freaking awesome.

It was my distinct pleasure to have met a number of you in person at the MeetUp this morning
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.

Same here; I've meat so many people via the various forums over the years and putting faces to names was much fun! Hope to see you all next year in Washington DC at MACNA 2015.

The technology for that does not yet exist. Digital meters still require a solution to be added, which would not allow continuous automated measurement. Even though it would be awesome, that is something that is decades out.

Well not completely true, financially reasonable it's not available

I did see a press release of a company at Macna claiming to have tackled this, we seems to have.

I think the keyword there is pretending. I asked my brother about this, who is a chemical engineer, and he said that optical sensors can only measure the level of calcium or magnesium after chelating the solution with dyes (fura-2 for calcium) and then it is possible. Without chelating the valcium ions to bind with a flourescent ion, the optical sensors dont measure anything. Companies have automated this by automatically extracting a precise amount of the solution they want to test with perastilic pumps, adding a precise amount of fura-2 dye, reading the measurement, and then flushing the container with probe storage solution.
