If you are the OWNER of an Apex in APEX Fusion, you can totally delete and unlink an Apex from Fusion.

It's very simple: On the Apex List, tap or click the gear button to the left of the Apex, then tap or click Remove.

If you pass on your Apex to another person, please do the next owner a huge favor and remove that Apex from your APEX Fusion account. Also, you should reset it to factory defaults.

  • For a Apex Classic, do an Initialize All of the Apex using the classic web pages (Configuration->Misc Setup page-Initialize memory->Initialize All) or through the display module menu system (System->Init Memory->Init All).
  • For an Apex or Apex EL, reset it by pressing the reset button behind the face-plate of the Apex base unit with a paper clip or other suitable implement, and holding the button depressed until the status LED turns red - about 30 seconds.

If you are the new owner of a previously-owned Apex which is still linked to the previous owner's APEX Fusion account

The best course of action is to ask the previous owner to Remove the Apex from his or her APEX Fusion account. If this is not possible, then the second option is to reset the Apex back to factory defaults. This will reset all outlet and probe names to default, reset all programming to default, etc. This is probably desirable to do anyway so you can start off fresh.

  1. If there are multiple EnergyBars and/or any additional expansion modules comprising your Apex system, disconnect all modules from the Apex except for one EnergyBar.
  2. Initialize your Apex; the process depends on which Apex model you have.
  3. If you have an A2 Apex or A3 Apex model: reset it by pressing the reset button behind the face-plate of the Apex base unit with a paper clip or other suitable implement, and holding the button depressed until the status LED turns red - about 30 seconds.
  4. If you have an Apex Classic model (Apex Classic, Apex Gold, Apex Lite, or Apex Jr): Do an Initialize All of the Apex using the classic web pages (Configuration->Misc Setup page-Initialize memory->Initialize All) or through the display module menu system (System->Init Memory->Init All).
  5. Wait until the Apex reboots plus an additional 2-3 minutes.
  6. Link your Apex to your APEX Fusion account.
  7. Go to the the Authorization page in Fusion. If you see two Owners listed:

  • Go back to the Apex List page
  • Click the gear icon
  • Click Remove, and enter your password when prompted
  • Wait about 5 minutes
  • Re-Link your Apex
  • Go to the the Authorization page in Fusion; you should only see yourself listed as Owner.

If you are an authorized user of someone else's Apex in APEX Fusion, or are the owner of an Apex who had previously granted access to another person, that authorization can be easily removed.

  1. Select the desired Apex from the Apex List
  2. Tap or click the Authorization button
  3. Tap or click the gear icon for the Apex
  4. Tap or click the Remove menu item.
