It's not 568a either
It's not 568a either
What exactly is the issue?

I thought I had to match the colours of wires up with the proper terminals on the stereo jack. The problem is I can't really see all the colours of the pins I need to use inside the rj45. This I'm worried I could blow something up.
There are only two possible TIA568 pinouts with network cables - 568A and 568B. One of them should match your cable, but you said neither does... what doesn't match up?

The one I got looks like this:
1Orange white, 2orange, 3green white, 4blue, 5orange white,6green, and last two look brown, but they are so hard to see.
That is the B variant.

That's what I thought too but pin 5 looks like orange white when it should be blue white. You think it's just my eyes playing tricks?
I'll just wire it for B then?
So according to the DIY link posted I understand I have to wire the stereo jack to pins 1,2 and 5 only on the rj45. Correct?
I edited my post to:
I found out it is a 568b.
How I wired it:
White from stereo to orange-white of rj45. White-blue of rj45 to red of stereo. And orange of rj45 to silver wire (ground) of the stereo jack. Correct?
