Ok I got it downloaded. Does this app work for remote access too? Not just in a LAN? I couldn't get it to work that way.

Yes, it will work on your local network as well as when you are away. Mine does. I just have my single Apex defined twice to the App -- once with my static local IP address, and the other using a port forwarding service. You will need to set up port forwarding to have a consistent way to access your controller from home, be it with the iOS App or just via the WWW when not using Fusion. THIS STICKY has links to the various places that will describe how to enable port forwarding -- it's unfortunately not for the faint of heart. Good luck.

Did you read the sticky I referenced, and follow the directions to set up your Apex with DHCP disabled, your router set up for port forwarding, and tested all that works? If yes, then your next step is setting up and testing with DynDNS and whatever domain name you've selected, along with the port you assigned in your router to access your Apex. Then, you would go to the iOS App and within the app's configuration screen, give your Apex a name like "My Apex Away from Home", the host field would be something like yourdyndnsdomainname.net and the port number will be the port you assigned on your router with port forwarding. The work is in getting everything to operate through your router first, then with DynDNS in your case ... setting it up in the iOS app itself is a cinch. Good luck.

I've got the $25 membership with dyn.com, I don't want to spend anymore money.

Avoid the hassle - just use APEX Fusion.
Please do not send me PMs with technical questions or requesting assistance - use the forums for Apex help. PM me ONLY if the matter is of a private or personal nature. Thanks.
