We already have made available to our sales channel the 16m version of our tubing as well as the replacement heads for the DOS pumps. We do not anticipate anyone needing them anytime soon, but they are available. We do not make the peri-tubes available separately as there are other moving parts that will wear out in the head at about the same time.

Is there something you need right now or do you just want to have a spare?

I was just wanting some spares. I have two DOS and a third on the way. It would be great if you could get the replacement heads in your on-line store. You never can find replacement parts in the normal distribution channel in this business. I normally keep a full set of peri-tubes on hand for my existing pumps that I am replacing.

    Thanks for responding.

Not trying to be sarcastic but just curious.
The website description of the Dos says changing the peristaltic tubing is easy and rather than change an entire head it will keep costs down. Has there been a change in that? It does seem as a new pump head is about 30 bucks when tubing would probably be about 10. Will changing the head be the only option going forward?
    Thanks

That is a good catch dcsnet. We have to change that. After closer consideration, we determined that the components in the head assembly also wear out but at an interval somewhat longer than the tubing itself but possibly at a timeframe less than two tubing changes. Given the MTBF of the tubing and the relative low cost of the head replacement, we thought it best to only offer it this way.

I will make the change to the web site. Thanks for pointing this out.

They have been offered to our resellers already. I do not know off of the top of my head who is carrying them at the moment.

We should have them in our online store as well fairly soon.
