    Help a rookie!

I have been running my apex on fusion only, I think I have only been on the web interface which is what I think the "classic" dashboard is referred as, one time. My apex will not log into fusion now and is telling me that I need to perform the firmware update. my version is 4.32.

1st: I thought that being in "fusion" the apex would auto update?

2cnd: In the update firmware instructions it says I need to save my settings through the "web interface". I typed in the http://apex and the ip address displayed on my apex unit into my browser and it says "web page unavailable"

Now i'm stuck...help please...and go slow, I am fairly computer illiterate and my wife is amazed I have gotten this far.

Fusion automatically updates but occasionally you also have to update your controller. Your controller feeds Fusion information and when new modules like the DoS are added, the controller has to be updated.

To access your controller locally you would use either http://apex or http://the IP address. Note that the hostname method doesn't work with Macs so I prefer just to use the IP address.

You can use your display module to find the IP address - navigate to System - Net Setup - IP address. Then plug that into your browser URL bar.

Set to and listed as mean the same in this instance. Type that ip address into your browser. Does that give you "web page not found"?

Go to the net setup on the display and enable DHCP. Then restart the controller. Once it boots back up, check the ip again and see if you can access the dashboard.

Try deleting your browsing history from the beginning of time and add :80 to the end of the ip address

OK i'm back and have not gotten any further. I replaced my base unit about 2 weeks ago. I didnt do anything additional other than unplug my base which had a display that was way over saturated in color and un adjustable. Then plug in the new one to the eb8 like the old one was. I was able to get on fusion and my lights and all my devices appeared to be working like they had been. I do however notice the serial number for my apex on fusion is different than the serial number on my new base unit. I tried the browse utility tonight to try to find my apex and it lists nothing. Any help out there for me? I just want to find the unit, get into the dashboard to save my settings, then update firmware so I can get back into fusion again! If I have to put my dosing pumps back onto home depot timers i'm gonna freak out!
