You don't configure a breakout box - it is just wiring and the terminals used to connect switches. Two switches are supported in the AC3.

For programming using switch inputs, see the AC3 user manual, page 36, Externally Switched Events

You can use as many or as little as you want (up to 6). I've personally have SumpLow, SumpHigh, QTLow, Skimmer1BucketFull, Skimmer2BucketFull (I'm running two skimmers)

So why it has 6 on the breakbox? Are they just to cause a good look on the small box???

Ok, I am using the Kenargo AC3 simulator with this code and I am not getting correct switching on the switches:

    //Automatic refill on sump
If SwitchA1 Open Then ADD OFF
If SwitchA1 Closed Then ADD ON

//Stop skimmer pumps when cup is full
If Switch2 Open Then SK1 OFF
If Switch2 Closed Then SK1 ON
If Switch2 Open Then SK2 OFF
If Switch2 Closed Then SK2 ON

    Am I making something wrong?

    Thanks !!

Because the BOB is designed for an apex, but just so happens to also work in an AC3

Interesting considering the BOB was designed a long time ago. I though it was before the apex !

No, not even close. The BoB has been around far longer than the Apex; it was redesigned to use screw terminals instead of slips a couple of years ago, but the capabilities remain the same. The facts are that the AC3 only supported 2 switch inputs, the AC3Pro supported 4. With the additional of a PX1000 module, up to 6 switches could be used on either controller. Up to 6 additional PX1000s could be daisy-chained to give 42 switch inputs on a AC3/AC3Pro.

See the post I just made. If you can find and buy a working PX1000, you can use all 6 terminals. The PX1000 plus into the AC3 I/O port, then the BoB plugs into the PX1000. A PX1000 will also allow you to add another temp probe and either a pH and ORP probe or 2 more pH probes.

After got a PX1000 I can see there is a delay about 2-3 second to turn off outet with the Switch 1 on BoB. Any idea why? is this the way it works?
    Thanks.

That was my experience too - took about 2 seconds with my old AC3.
