    Reefcrest modification?

I am thinking of getting the WXM to control my 4 mp40's. Is it possible to modify the Ecotech Reefcrest or other modes? The reason I am asking is that in the typical Reefcrest mode the pumps rarely reach 100% even when 100% intensity is selected. I basically want a more variable Reefcrest mode that frequently changes between 50% and up to 100% pump speed.

No. All the modes use the same algorithms on the apex. The reason to get a WXM is for interoperability so you can sequence things like feed modes and whatnot with other devices.

Got it. Is it possible to create something custom I want or are all the modes tied to the standard Ecotech modes?

They are all tied to the ecotech modes.

You could create something yourself with a little effort. Make profiles for 50,60,70,80,90,100% and then use several virtual outlets using OSC commands with random on/off intervals to activate the different profiles at pseudo-random times.

I kinda get what you are saying but if you could expand a bit and give a simple example and explain "pseudo-random times" would be great.

It means use uneven numbers so it's less likely the OSC statements will overlap in a non random way.

    Ex
    000:00/001:21/005:00 Then ON

    And

    000:00/002:40/005:00 Then ON

Overlapping would with different profiles would create pseudo random patterns. The more VOs with different OSC setups, the more pseudo random it is.
